Accio! Hogsmeade

  ☆ The Village
Hogsmeade is a historic, picturesque village close to Hogwarts. Founded over 1000 years ago by Hengist of Woodcroft, it remains the only village in Britain with an entirely magical population.

Due to Hogsmeade being so close to the school, students in the Third Year and above may visit the village on select weekends, provided they have a signed permission slip from their parent or guardian (Outsiders do not require a permission slip). The dates for Hogsmeade visits will be posted on the noticeboards.

Adult students may visit Hogsmeade at any time outside school hours, but must return to Hogwarts by 11.00pm. Occasionally, evening and weekend jobs will be posted on the noticeboards.

The following list comprises of locations found in the books. For more information, or for locations found in other media, please refer to the Lexicon and/or Wiki.

Shopping
Dervish and Banges, for magical equipment
Gladrags Wizardwear, for clothing
Honeydukes, for confectionary
Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop, for stationary
Zonko's Joke Shop, for joke and trick products

Food and Drink
The Hog's Head, a rather dingy pub with a sometimes shady clientèle.
The Three Broomsticks, a pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Madame Puddifoot's Tea Shop, a small, old-fashioned tearoom, rather tacky in décor.

Other
Post Office, has hundreds of owls to deliver customers' post.
The Shrieking Shack, rumoured to be the most haunted building in Britain.
Hogsmeade Station, where the Hogwarts Express drops students off each year.

  ☆ The Campground
During the Summer, when Hogwarts' doors are closed, Outsiders will be moved into a small campground within walking distance of Hogsmeade Village. Outsiders will be able to live in second-hand tents generously donated by the witches and wizards of Britain, with catering provided by Hogwarts' House Elves.

Outsiders will not be left to their own devices during this time. There are class tents set up, so that catch-up and life skills classes may continue during the summer. For any student currently taking catch-up classes, attendance is mandatory - for life skills, it's optional but highly recommended. Recreational activities will also be on offer. When classes are not in session, Outsiders are free to visit Hogsmeade Village.

Non-Outsiders may opt to join in with the summer camp, but will be expected to assist with activities.
